Report Writer Support Analyst

We are currently looking for someone with data mining and database reporting experience to join our Prospector^TM team as a Report Writer Support Analyst.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer you will be offered a challenging role in helping SIT's clients leverage Portfolio Plus with SIT's data mining and reporting tool (Portfolio Plus Prospector^TM)

The Report Writer Support Analyst will be responsible for:

• Analyzing requests/problems and translating them into reporting and analytical requirements, specifications, and recommendation requirements.
• Collaborating with business units and Prospector users on all ad hoc reporting requests.
• Analyzing existing reports, designing new reports, decommissioning old reports, and working with Financial Application Specialist (FAS) developers on implementation.
• Providing coordination and facilitating report development so that reports meet the needs of users and are consistent and accurate prior to release into production.
• Coordinating report testing among users, and reviewing testing results to determine whether reports are ready for production.
• Participating in the rollout of reports to the end user community, including preparation or communication materials and training users.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of SQL, data mining concepts, and relational database management systems.
• Solid understanding of complex reporting and information concepts, and the ability to execute reporting for several projects at once.
• Ability to prepare written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional, and engaging.
• Candidates should have a working knowledge of the banking industry, including standards and practices.
• Must be highly effective at working in cross-functional groups and achieving results in matrix organizations.
• Must be able to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with very aggressive project timelines.
• Training in database/programming or relevant work experience is required for this position.
• It is beneficial to have a deep understanding of complex data structures and models.
• Well-rounded experience with data warehouse and data mining concepts would be valuable.
