FundSERV Interface for Investments

FundSERV (often mispelled Fundserve) is a company that provides a communications platform so brokers and trading systems can exchange financial information for the purposes of ordering mutual funds, stocks, bonds and more. FundSERV does NOT sell software, per se. We (SIT) do. What FundSERV does do is provide connectivity so that software like Portfolio Plus (from Strategic Information Technology) can connect safely and securely to FundSERV's network where trades can be placed, valuations performed, confirmations executed, etc.

FundSERV Background

FundSERV Inc. was established in 1993 and remains privately held. They operate on a cost-recovery basis.

FundSERV believes they have the most efficient investment fund transaction processing system in the world. Today, FundSERV serves more than 700 organizations with over 10,000 investment fund instruments.

Portfolio Plus and FundSERV

Portfolio Plus is comprised of a number of modules which work in concert with each other. The Portfolio Plus module that works with the FundSERV interface is referred to as the Portfolio Plus Investment Module. This module can handle investments and investment plans including registered plans (like RRSP, RESP, LRIF, RIF, etc.) and unregistered plans.
