SIT on TwitterSIT on Twitter
Twitter can be a great communication tool but there are a couple of challenges (which we believe) hinder wider corporate adoption. The first challenge is its name: Twitter? It sounds juvenile. And then there's the abuse by people and companies alike, who post too many "tweets" or irrelevant information. In the right hands, however, Twitter can be an excellent secondary or tertiary corporate communication platform. A few of the reasons SIT decided to use Twitter are:
SIT has adopted a Twitter posting policy to ensure that our "tweets" are relevant to the financial community we serve (of course this is our subjective opinion). SIT's Future Use of TwitterSIT is satisfied, at this time, with the privacy environment on the Twitter platform. If changes in the Twitter privacy landscape give us any cause for concern we'll simply stop using it. SIT & other Social MediaToday SIT is using a combination of our website, Twitter, FeedBurner/RSS, and LinkedIn as part of SIT's overall communication platform. Facebook: It Just Makes us NervousSIT created a "Strategic Information Technology" "fan page" on Facebook some time ago but we are very nervous about Facebook's rapid and confusing privacy changes. Until SIT gets more relaxed about our (and your) privacy concerns we will not be active on Facebook. Twitter UpdatesBelow are the latest Twitter updates. This may not be as current as the updates on Twitter itself. To ensure you have the latest updates please visit SIT's Twitter channel: @stratinfotech.
