Business Development Manager (Loans and Mortgages)
As a Business Development Manager, well connected within the
financial services industry, you will leverage your sales skills to develop new
business for SIT within the loan and mortgage space in Canada.
You will target the financial community to interest them in SIT's Portfolio Plus solution. You will work with sales management
and marketing to develop campaigns that increase interest in SIT's solution. You will attend the applicable trade shows and
conferences and work closely with our partners to present a total solution. Proven selling techniques are necessary
(preferably solution selling) but you won't be pressured into strong-handed tactics. SIT prides itself on making sales
that stand the test of time and as such, senior management gets involved in the closing of all sales to ensure the
development of a long and mutually beneficial relationship.
You will be comfortable talking and presenting at the 'C' level and leveraging the resources that will be at your disposal to ensure a quality sale.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with marketing and sales management to conduct cold calling campaigns
in conjunction with targeted marketing.
- Present SIT's solution to individual companies and seminar attendees
- Keep "call sheets" to track the success rate of campaigns.
- Work with sales management to develop a sales database and lead tracking system for the
loan and mortgage arena.
- Keep up with the latest industry developments (new banks, new segments, etc.) and who's
who in the loan and mortgage space.
- Attend assigned trade shows and conferences/seminars to assist
in raising the visibility of SIT in Canada.
- Practice SIT's code of conduct throughout the entire sales process.
Requirements/Qualifications
- You are comfortable cold calling prospects.
- You have an existing network from your previous successes
- You are proficient in keeping good records to help monitor the success of various
marketing campaigns.
- You are a self-starter and will be comfortable working with various product officers at
SIT to educate yourself on SIT's product line.
- You are a team player and have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- You are comfortable presenting in front of C-level executives.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
- You have a post-secondary education.
- You have a proven software sales track record (minimum 3 years) in the loan
and mortgage arena
- You are prepared to travel up to 20% of the time.
