Inactive Account

An account that has been deemed inactive by a financial institution.

A financial statement issued periodically (usually quarterly and annually) that lists a company's financial transactions and activity as they pertain to profit and loss.

Initial Public Offering

"IPO" - The first point at which a company's shares are available for sale on the market.

The percentage of a loan or investment that is charged or returned to the borrower or investor.

Introductory Rate

A lower, promotional financing rate offered by banks or credit card companies for a specific period of time. After the promotional period expires, a higher rate is applied on a permanent basis.

Investment Income

Interest or capital gains income generated from stocks, bonds or other investments.
