Open Positions @ SIT
Product Technical Specialist
Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, the Product Technical Specialist will be the first point of contact providing operational support to internal SIT associates and SIT clients for proprietary and third party software packages that include but are not limited to:
- Office Link
- Prospector
- Collector(XRS)
- 3rd party Cheque Writing Software (Chequescribe/ChequeLink)
- Future applications as they are introduced
Competency Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent Community College Diploma or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong knowledge in SQL
- Linux experience preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends to accommodate project deadlines and problem resolution when required
- Flexibility and availability to travel, if required (National and International – a valid passport is required)
- Knowledge of Cyberquery and/or any Cheque Writing software an asset
- Good working knowledge of SIT operations and systems an asset
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal (English mandatory; Spanish and/or French as asset
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the installation operational support and maintenance of all internal and external XRS/Collector environments at SIT or hosted by SIT which includes, but is not limited to:
- Installation/configurations of the application on existing or new server(s) when required
- Operational support and troubleshooting for all environments (with the involvement of a Install Technician or 3rd party vendor, if required)
- Assist BA/FAS with application testing as required
- Responsible for the Installation/support and usage of Cyberquery and any related Cyberscience products..
- Able to assist clients both internal and external with the technical usage of Cyberquery and related Cyberscience products.
- Provide training on the usage of Cyberquery and any related Cyberscience products
- Responsible for the installation operational support and maintenance of all internal and external Chequescribe/ChequeLink environments at SIT or hosted by SIT which includes, but is not limited to:
- Installation/configurations of the application on existing or new server(s) when required
- Operational support and troubleshooting for all environments (with the involvement of a Install Technician or 3rd party vendor, if required)
- Assist BA/FAS with application testing as required
- Responsible for the installation operational support and maintenance of all internal and external OfficeLink environments at SIT or hosted by SIT which includes, but is not limited to:
- Installation/configurations of the application on existing or new server(s) when required
- Operational support and troubleshooting for all environments (with the involvement of a Install Technician or 3rd party vendor, if required)
- Assist BA/FAS with application testing as required
- Prepare documentation, work requests and maintain internal records for the Technical Integration and Support team as required
- Co-ordinate and resolve any installation and/or operation issues (with the involvement of 3rd party vendors if required)
- Ensure standards of Quality Assurance excellence are being met
- Provide technical support to SIT staff when requested as relates to third party applications.
- Liaise with vendors on a technical level to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Liaise with SIT clients and staff on a technical level
- Other duties as required
