CreditExpo ECM Analytics Availability

SIT Announces Availability of Credit Risk Management Interface

Toronto, ON, Canada – February 11, 2013:Strategic Information Technology Ltd. (“SIT”) is pleased to announce it has completed an interface to CreditExpo’s ECM Analytics product, which enhances credit risk analysis.

"We’ve worked with SIT for the better part of a year to ensure that Portfolio Plus can feed data to ECM Analytics, our credit risk platform,” says Patrick Shallow, Managing Director of CreditExpo. “And we look forward to continuing to ensure that all Portfolio Plus customers have access to our credit risk management solution.”

With the ECM Analytics interface, Portfolio Plus exchanges data securely with a third-party credit risk management system, providing Portfolio Plus customers with even more tools for managing credit risk.

“We became aware of the ECM Analytics solution over two years ago and made a commitment at that time to provide an interface,” said G. Robert Leeming, President of SIT. “We’re happy to see this implementation moving forward and anticipate that more SIT customers will want to adopt this credit risk solution.”

The ECM Analytics interface first launched with E-Services and Communication Credit Union in Ireland. “We’ve been working closely with SIT and CreditExpo to ensure we can use ECM Analytics to help analyze our credit portfolio to minimize risk,” said Fergus Casey, General Manager of E-Services and Communication Credit Union.

The ECM Analytics interface is now available for all Portfolio Plus users interested in exploring the benefits of an integrated credit risk management solution.

Portfolio Plus enables credit unions, banks, trust companies, virtual banks, and other financial organizations to implement their own flavour of mobile banking to capture the best possible market advantage.

About CreditExpo

ECM Analytics originated from its designer’s professional experience in a range of senior management roles within the banking industry, alternately in mortgage finance and in retail lending, where he saw at first hand the damage caused to those businesses by ungrounded estimations of credit risk and by static spreadsheets. In 2001, he established CreditExpo to develop and to patent an alternative empirical approach—ECM Analytics, simultaneously researching the field and completing a PhD thesis on best international practice and on the new methodology. Following several installations of the software and back testing of results, ECM Analytics is currently being adopted as the new credit risk standard and expert system by many Irish credit unions and other lenders; the solution is now available internationally.
